Surgery closures

The surgery is closed on the second Wednesday of every month ( expect from August and December) from 12:30pm for the education and development of the practice staff as per the local guidance.

Extended hours

Patients are able to access appointments Monday to Friday up to 8pm every night at surgeries across the High Peak area as per the timetable below.

Routine appointments will also be available on Saturdays, and bank holidays in either New Mills Clinic or Buxton Minor Injuries.

Timetable for Buxton and High Peak extended hours sessions:

  • Monday – Thornbrook Surgery in Chapel and Arden House in New Mills.
  • Tuesday – Goyt Valley Medical Practice in Whaley Bridge and Buxton Medical Practice in Buxton.
  • Wednesday – Sett Valley Medical Centre in New Mills and Elmwood Medical Centre in Buxton.
  • Thursday – Stewart Medical Centre in Buxton and Hartington Surgery.
  • Friday – Buxton Cottage Hospital
  • Saturday –New Mills Health Centre and Buxton Cottage Hospital.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
