Sett Valley Medical Centre is a Training Practice and we participate in the training of GPs and medical students. Training is fully supervised and confidential.
Medical students
The Practice has links with Manchester University and medical students attend for placements at Sett Valley throughout the year. We hope that you will agree to the presence of any medical students during your consultation and are grateful for this.
Should you prefer the trainee not to be present, please advise the doctor at the start of your consultation. Your treatment will not be affected in any way.
GP registrars
GP Registrars are qualified doctors who are undertaking training to specialise as a GP. They see patients on their own but have a GP supervisor who will support them.
