Choose & Book is a new NHS service which allows you to choose which of your local hospitals you would like to attend to see a consultant or receive treatment. Your GP will be able to guide you as to the best hospital to suit your needs, and can make a recommendation to you. However, you can still choose to go to a different hospital, if you prefer.
When you are being referred to a hospital through Choose & Book, you will be given a unique booking reference number, sometimes referred to as a UBRN, and a password. Using these details you can book your hospital appointment either by telephone or online. Your GP will give you instructions on how to do this.
