Channel 4 have been running a programme called “You Are What You Eat” and the ethos of this programme has been taken on board by the Department of Health to promote a healthier lifestyle and raise patients’ awareness.

It is hoped by changing people’s lifestyles that it will minimise the risk of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and other chronic diseases and as a consequence also lead to weight loss.

This new programme is offered by Sett Valley Medical Centre and is a free, confidential and discreet service and is aimed at patients with a higher than average BMI (body mass index).

Please either ask your doctor, nurse or at reception if you would be interested in this clinic.
